Our Custom Projects:

When we say custom, we mean custom. We take pride in partnering with different organizations to create new content and package it in an innovative way...whether that means a new consumer information package with corresponding video, a patient and family information booklet, or your conference on CD ROM. If you have a vision, we'd like to help you make it a reality!

Emergency Readiness Curriculum

Challenge:
Hurricane Katrina made clear the pervasive need for quality education resources on emergency readiness for older adults and caregivers.
Solution:
Caresource teamed up with the City of Seattle's Advisory Council on Aging and Disabilities and other participants (including the U.S. Administration on Aging's National Family Caregiver Support Program and Seattle's Office of Emergency Management) in developing a multi-part curriculum. The program offers consumers free access to an emergency readiness factsheet and forms, as well as video, all available online in both English and Spanish.
“This curriculum grew out of a wonderful article Caresource included in our October 2005 issue of Seniors Digest, our online monthly news magazine. Today the program is available to seniors and their families everywhere. A great job of seeing the need and pulling the team together to address it.”
- Don Moreland, Chair, Seattle Advisory Council on Aging

NCCNHR CD-ROM

Challenge:
The National Citizen's Coalition for Nursing Home Reform (NCCNHR) supports the nation's long term care ombudsman programs. Their mission, supporting residents' rights, depends on educating their ombudsman professionals and providing them with ready-to-use resources They host an annual conference as the corner-stone of their education and resource support.
Solution:
NCCNHR knew that distributing their conference information electronically would be better for attendees. A CD-ROM created in an HTML format was a perfect fit. All that is needed to access the information is an Internet browser. The formatting is attractive and user-friendly. The CD-ROM contains the conference schedule, information about each presenter, and the handouts, model forms, and other documents that the presenters provide. The attendee takes the disk home, puts it in their computer, and voila! They can create, edit, and copy material from the conference or share it with their colleagues easily from their desktop.
“For the last three years we have been providing participants of our national conference with materials on CD-ROM. This approach has not only reduced our costs, it has also made the materials more accessible and adaptable for our attendees. They can now edit and share the information and materials to assist long-term care residents and families in their communities. Last year was our second year working with Caresource and we have been overwhelmingly pleased with the quality of service we receive. The CD-ROM they produce is creatively designed and user-friendly.”
